Movies On A Plane

Hey guys,

First of all sorry for not posting anything for a few days. I was just really busy. So anyway I had some time today and decide to tell you about the movies which saw on my freakishly long flight to the US.
Well I travelled Etihad Airways this time and they had a great set of movies ( well as good as you can hope for on an airplane). So here they are:

1] The Hunger Games, Catching Fire:

Well, I did not have high hopes when I started watching the movie.. but it was surprisingly good. The movie was pretty elaborate and successfully describes most of the book(which is amazing by the way). J Law is great, no surprises there and overall, it's a nice entertaining flick.

2] Frozen:

Ah! the magic of a Disney animated movie. This is by far one of the best Disney movies I have ever seen. Cute story, splendid animation as usual and leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Love it. Must watch.

Well I did see only two movies on board( because I slept a lot) but I did see a few TV show episodes as well. I am really liking "The Middle". It's a rib tickling family comedy which I definitely recommend.

Well that's all for today guys..

So until next time "Live long and Prosper".

The Problem With Pizza Hut

OK, lets get this straight..... Pizza Hut is terrible!

Here's why.. I happened to go there today for one of my friend's birthday celebration. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out.... we were unhappy. For starters, the waiter came to our table only after we waited for close to fifteen long minutes(they have like 2 waiters for a really huge restaurant). When he did he was really clumsy and did not write down our orders(apparantly he thought that he was more than capable of rremembering more than twenty things at once). So I was not particularly surprised that he turned up(after a solid 20 minutes) with completely different pizzas than the ones which we ordered. They have a huge menu but the serve less than half of whats on it.
Here's the best part... my friend actually got a tiny SCREW in his pizza slice(yea that's right a metallic screw). There was also a liberal helping of HAIR on some of the slices.

DIGUSTING! We do not expect this from multinational brands like Pizza Hut! Yum foods if your reading this I have a good mind to sue you....

Needless to say I am never stepping foot in pizza hut again.... Share this people, spread the wisdom.

That's all for now,

Until next time

(TRUST ME YOU WON'T IF YOU EAT TOO MUCH FROM PIZZA HUT)

Problematic Movies

Hey guys,

Have you ever seen a movie based on a book and felt that the movie completely ruins the book? Well... I have seen several such movies and I find them extremely irritating. Most of the time I have read the book (and loved it, which I why I go and see the movie in the first place) and when I see a bad adaption, I hate it. So here's a list of movies which have got it completely wrong.

1] Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief:

Firstly, you have to read the book series(if you have not yet done so). Rick Riordan is really fantastic writer. On the other hand Chris Columbus seems like a terrible director! The movie is not a patch on the book and die hard Percy fans will be extremely disappointed on watching it. Lets face it, Logan Lerman CANNOT ACT!

2] The Kite Runner:

A fascinatingly touching story by the great writer Khaled Hosseini describes the story of an Afghan boy and his friend. Set in Afghanistan(like all his other books) the story is really beautiful and guarantees to keep you hooked till the very end. However the movie, promises to bore you out of your skull and make you walk out at the interval itself! The actors are mediocre and fail to bring out the depth of the feelings conveyed in the book. The director obviously wanted to make a few quick bucks here by trying to adapt a bestseller and the movie is bad, at the very best.

3] Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince:

When I walked into the theater to watch this film I was really excited.... by the interval, I was ready to commit suicide. Unlike most other Harry Potter movies, in this one completely strays away from the book  and misses out on certain crucial parts just to squeeze a few more titillating kisses(which frankly got boring very quickly). Very very disappointing.

4] A Series Of Unfortunate Events:

This  book series by author Lemony Snicket is sad and really entertaining. First big mistake made by the director.. trying to club more than ten books into one two hour movie... Needless to say that I was unfortunate to watch it.

5] Eragon:

When Christopher Paolini writes about Eragon in his book... he portrays him as a cool and tough guy. When you see Ed Speleers on the big screen... you are reminded of a baby crying for his mother(trust me, its not cute). Terrible casting. Besides the movie fails to keep you entertained like the book does.

Well those are the list of movies I really hated because the pretty much ruined some of my favorite books..  Do yourselves a favor and do not watch them.

So until next time,

All Of Me

"Cuz all of me loves all of you"

What a beautiful line... John legend really knows how to write! I was listening to this song yesterday and was really really impressed.. smashing tune and brilliant lyrics.  Listen to it.
I don't how many you guys heard about it but recently a teenage boy living in the UK actually tried to commit suicide because he was not able to capture the perfect selfie! Now this is just really really disturbing! I mean the guy dropped out of school and spent ten hours a day clicking selfies on his iPhone. Finally one day he got so depressed because he was not able to click the ideal snap that he decided to end his life... I mean!!! Seriously, our society is really messed up right now.
I just finished reading Khaled Hosseini's "A Thousand Splendid Suns", a fantastic book and believe me when I say a real tear jerk er. Set in Afghanistan it beautifully depicts the magnitude of the suffering which people there have had to endure because of the many wars which ravaged the country. More importantly it also highlights the plight of women in many developing and under developed countries in the world today. The atrocities which they have to face are vile and despicable. In the past few years a young Afghan girl named Malala Yousafsai has gained prominence after she started movements for the enforcement of 'The Rights Of Women' in Afghanistan. Her story is truly inspirational. Which is why the other book which I am going to suggest today is "I am Malala Yousaifsai". Check it out guys. Both if these books are phenomenal and more importantly they give us perspective. They take us out of our own comfortably life and thrust us into the shoes of people who are lesser fortunate than us, people who have witnessed and endured unspeakable horrors. It will make you empathize and you will surely count your own blessings and reading it. This is really important because until "All of us love each other", this world of ours is going no where. We have to understand that while some of us worry about "How Cool Our Selfie Looks" or about how many likes our Facebook display picture gets, there are people out there.. people like us who worried that they will not live to seen the dawn of tomorrow.   How fickle all our problems seem in front of theirs. Its time that privileged people like us broadened our perspective. Think about it.. and read the books.

That's all for now guys,

Random Stuff

'Sup brothers and sisters in craziness... (I don't know is that sentence is grammatically sound, so grammar nazis lay off).  I was surfing YouTube today and I happened to stumble on a video by the fine bros. Their latest video in the Elders React series is one where they show these old people a bunch of Pewdiepie videos.. Now the thing about this is that most of these people HATED him... when is say hated I mean they really DETEST him... how weird isn't it. Hero to one generation and useless junk to the other. Must be tough. Check out the video though.. they have some really cool reactions!
Another thing which I wanted to talk about is Nirvana. Now I am not sure how many of you actually know what Nirvana is so here's a little bit about them. Nirvana was one of the best Rock bands of the 90's. Their genre was 'Grunge Rock'. They were really really popular at one point and people really related to their music and lyrics simply because they were SO relevant. However at their height of popularity their lead singer Kurt Cobain committed suicide. No one really knows what made him do it but most people say that he just could not handle the fame. Anyways you should still check out some of their music.. Their most popular song is below
So that's all for now guys...
